Will you sell your console at launch or later on?

Just wondering what people's thoughts are on selling there current consoles once the new one releases, I know some people might just simply be strapped for cash and have to trade it in towards the new purchase, Im thinking of keeping hold of mine till around mid 2014 but im not too certain yet

 

Not really bothered about new console as enjoying my phat consoles

 

Im gonna wait a while to get the new console. To wrapped up in all the cool stuff I got now.

 

Will save up but happy with my flashed console my RGH is my baby.

 

I'll probably sell it right before I buy the new one...That way it will still have some type of value and I'm not stuck with the outdated system. Or maybe I'll keep it, no clue...Great now I have to think about this....

Ill wait awhile to sell but will def. be trying for a launch system of the new console as they usually are the most/easiest exploitable... before all the rev. versions come out!

 

Don't forget they also have the most problems.

 

tru that... hopefully it comes with a good warranty! its a hard choice either get it early with possible problems and lacking hardware/features or wait and most likely have to buy some kind of kit for exploitation. decisions decisions..

 

I will not get rid of my consoles. I will keep my PS3 and 360. I still want to play backups while waiting for someone to unlock the new systems.

 

I'll be buying the new console day 1, I have 2 Flashed Consoles so maybe trade in one towards it only if they do a really good deal, but not to bothered I've the cash to get the Pro version can't wait

 

nope i keep all my console i paid a lot for them so why sell them for less lol

 

you might not though some of the deals they may do could see you getting back alot more than the console is worth, Like I said I'll be buying one day one and I might trade in one of my consoles only if they do a really really good deal them I'll have more money to spend on games and accessories

 

yeppers but i rather pay the price for the system XD and keep my other since i never know if i will want to play it or will it be worth anything in the future and that usually my wife pays for half of the system that makes it cheaper on both of us lol

 

I agree with not selling them. Once it's paid for it doesn't cost anything to keep it and you only get screwed on it's value when trading it in. I still have every console I've owned. Not sure about new consoles yet though. I think I may have to wait a bit to see what they offer and what problems will arise first.

 

i think i'll be keeping my rgh for a long time. And only buy the new gen when alot of good games are out on it with stunning graphics

I think I'll do the same as FeralA9X, got a few slims and even if you do get ripped off on trade ins, it would make buying the new console a slightly easier on the wallet whilst freeing up some space. Having just 1 retail and 1 RGH makes things so much simpler in the long run. I just hope the new console is up to scratch and offers some decent upgrades. As the 360 stands right now, it's a pretty damn good machine and in many ways the new Xbox will have alot to live up to, the RROD dabacle not withstanding of course.

I'd like to see them start offering digital copies that are released at the same time as the physical ones. I think that would go a long way toward improving digital distribution and encouraging more people to use it, more so if it meant more money went to the developers.

 

I would probably sell my retail and keep my jtags! Doubt ill go back to playing it anyway. Didnt play ps2 once i got 360

ill probably get the 720 but ill probs wait a year or so to get it but i wont be selling my console until its well and truly dead.
i still have my chipped ps2 even though ive had a few ps3s over the past few years and ive not long got rid of my ps1.
