My personal thoughts on Badge request section

I would like to state that yes i did make about 3 requests about 3 weeks ago​

then all of a sudden we have​

about like 40 requests a day(Out of context)​

As i am not saying this is a bad thing​

i just would like to say we should Put that​

topic​

as one of those Post count doesnt go up here​

I Mean you did it to the general section​

and i mean​

It makes since as it has just randomness​

but i mean members shouldn't be accredited​

for posting a request​

Anyone else agree or is this just me?​

 

I've been planning on making a topic about some things. This was one of them. My suggestions would be to make the request thread invisible to all members but staff. Like how I believe the "speak to staff" is. You can make a request but only staff can see the topic. Then if the member would like to let it be known that the got the badge/award, the can post in the milestone/achievement section. Also yes,this is one of a few sections that shouldn't raise post count. There's a few others that I'm going to bring up whenever I make a topic about it.

 

Its the same as these sort of posts to be honest.

The best way to go about this is PM one of the staff members and get views of them about it

 

Meh I say don't bother yourselves with how many posts people have. It's just a number that says how many times you've posted on this forum. It should be seen as a stat really so why make it inaccurate?

I would not be opposed to this. I too have seen people basically just join and ask for some of the most prestigious badges on the site.

@EVO Staff gets notified about every topic posted on this site, no need for a PM. They will see the topic.

 

I agree that post count doesn't matter, the only problem is that some people think it does and then spam the forum. I am all for the ideas that have been suggested. The requests are starting to get ridiculous.

 

I am still waiting for someone to request the Founder badge :troll:

I think you'll already know this but Staff Ranks can't be requested, Didn't stop two Members from Requesting Section Mod Positions/Badges :trolldance:

No offence to the staff but any time ive ever made a request i have to spam it and when i mean spam i mean every 1 or 2 weeks.
most of them get ignored.
And thats why i stopped asking for badges a long time ago

I would suggest hireing someone just plainly checking each post in that section

 

If they get ignored they must be declining your Request.

However I did post in the Topic Think of some New Ranks that we need an Badge/Award Mod to keep the Userbadge Request Section Tidy!

 

I feel that begal is an excellent admin who goes through the badge request section more often than you think

 

Well I was gonna ask for the Donator+ badge. But now you all got me kinda scared to do it. LOL. (Humor early in the morning)
