CPU/GPU Overheating - Xbox Slim

 

If you don't know what your doing then get someone to fix it who does know

 

I purchased a slim with this code
I stripped it , masked off all sarrounding areas to all chipsets with foil and ( best invention in the world > ) >> Blue tack as a gasket.

then obviously had a quick isopropyl left for a minute.

ok heated rear of board , then turned over and to all chipsets quickly applied No clean solder flux.

then for not 4 but 5 minutes ( because of heat sheild ) reflowed ALL major chips.

Well she did come on for about 10 minutes then died again ( this was after wacking heatsink n fan back on with some Arctic silver 5.

Stripped cleaned n reflowed again ...................... Same thing only worked a tad longer. but still died lollllllll poxy unleaded solder huh.

So the moral of this story is DONT give up , hahahahaha I aint gonna !

Now gonna do a complete resolder of all points > all points , well what else is there to do after all ?

 

i spoke to someone with this error the other day turned out cables where loose attatched to dvd tray .
