There has been discussions between Nintendo and EA and Crytek, but the bottom line is that there is that there's not enough business drive in it," Yerli said. "It's a business decision between EA and Nintendo. If that business decision doesn't make sense, or seems to not make sense for them, it's… not possible for us to make it. We can't publish ourselves, and that's the bottom line." Crysis 3 was never a sure thing for release on Wii U. In May 2012, Crytek director of creative development Rasmus Hoejengaard said there was "Not A Fat Chance" that Crysis 3 would ever ship for Wii U. That wasn't the end of the story, though, as Yerli clarified two months later that the game was possible for Wii U.
