Heres a Tutorial showing you how to determine your drive type with ease! DVD Drive There are currently a few different DVD-ROM drives available for the Xbox 360. The first is a Hitachi-LG drive and another is a Toshiba-Samsung drive. (The early Hitachi and samsung drives dont have AP2.5 checks) Theres also Benq and Liteon. Which drive do you have? You can open the tray and look where the holes are to determine the DVD drive you own. Note how each drive tray looks different when ejected. To determine whether your phillips drive is a benq or liteon then look in the hole behind the faceplate. This should help you to determine your drive if your thinking about flashing or having a proffesional flash for you.
Or open your box and read the damn sticker. When i first tried this method i couldn't find the wires. There are many different versions of dvd drives other then toshiba and samsung, and a few work with the same method.
ehhh open the box easier ??? i dont think so bullets tut is spot on for older drives if you can id your drive using that you shouldnt be flashing boxes if you cant see the wires then put a torch in the hole pffffffffffft .....
if youve got the older console what are your wire colours look for a small hole in the dvd tray or if its a slim either gonna be a hitatchi or liteon drive liteons will usually have a small round yellow sticker on the drive you can see it throught the grills on the side .
as long as youre drives on LT 3.0 at the moment there really is nothing more you can do to it .. wait paitently for ULTIMATE .
