Greetings all at XPG I'm pretty sure this question kinda answers it's self, but I have not burned a backup since XGD3 wasn't able to be truncated anymore  I have 2 drives I get the same error with both,, this HL which I figured wouldn't work because all it's siblings are on the not working list, and I have an older memorex that is an IHap w/lightscribe in disguise which given the list I thought may have a chance, but same error So if I get this (pic below ↓) even without a blank disc in the drive , I would assume not to bother buying any discs because this drive is not going to work ?? Or will it only load Burnermax with media installed if the drive is compatible?? noob question I know, but gimme a break i'm a jtag guy ehh
Haha http://www.xpgamesaves.com/topic/59524-list-so-far-of-burnermax-payload-tool-compatible-drives/#.UONaQ283Zgh Look at this thread man
yeah I was checking that out ,,and that's why I had a small glimmer of hope for my memorex because it's a relabeled step-sister to the LITE-ON iHAP 122-04W ,,only it has lightscribe ,old IDE junker  but it still burns!
begallegal1 the "Pioneer 111D" was my 1st drive 6-7 year ago when the games were 1st burnable and it was only £20-ish then, that's on the working list and should be cheap as hell now.
I have a iHas524 B with Burner Max Firmware on it when I got it I could burn XGD2 games on the cheaper AOnes but now no matter what I have to use the Sing Verb's MK00300 which I don't mind but I even re flashed it and have changed my Operating system 3 times since and still wont burn XGD2 on cheaper disc's what does this Payload Tool do?? And if you want cheap iHas524 B suprisingly PC World has them in the Revision B that you must get and they are £19.99 if you purchase from the website or £29.99 if you go in store, but a good bit of info for you mate if you go in store you can purchase it of the website in store and pay cash and collect it straight away they do it for you just say the site wasn't working for you I have been twice and had 3 and each time only payed £20 Also the computer shop near me has the ASUS cross flashable drives in for £18.99-£21.99
i have had more succesfull burns maye using payload tool and aones printables as i couldnt get my ihas 124b to write at 2.4 x but the pioneer burner in my laptop supports payload very well and i now get 100% succes rate burning xgd2/xgd3 .
iv just tried my pioneer DVR-S18LBK and it works and i have sum spare im willing to sell but do u need a SATA or IDE drive m8?
that's bacause the burner max firmware for MK00300 (singapore verb's) is set only able to write at x4 x6 x8 and is best to burn a x4 the lowest it alows you to. Its strange that I could burn XGD2 on any disc but it wont do it anymore I have to use the Verb's now which I only used to do XGD3 games I have to use to do XGD2 games now don't know why it would stop I just get a Power Calibration Failed when I use the Aones on xgd2 so I just stick to the Sing Verb's for both now I don't have a problem I don't need any mate I have 3 iHas524 B mate Thanks.
updated the list with your tried and tested drives lads please either pm me with further working or non working drives or post in my original payload tool topic so i can add them quicker thanks for all your help.
