As I already mentioned when I introduced myself, part of the reason for joining this forum is that I wanted to get my Live account working with my old savegames.

Using Modio I thought I had succesfully managed to add my (already existing) Live account to my offline Xbox profile. However, either something got corrupted or I must have done something wrong, because after about a week games started to give an error that they could not save to my profile.

Now, I can download my Live account again from the MS servers and get rid of the error. However, all my savegames are then tied to my old profile so I cannot play them and continue to earn achievements. But this I could fix by rehashing/resigning these savegames.

I have been reading the forums a bit and I get the impression that most people here think that using modded/downloaded gamesaves is relatively safe with respect to getting your account banned from Live. Is this true?

If so, then I'm thinking that the best way to get everything working on my Xbox again is recover my Live profile and rehash/resign all my old savegames to this profile. I should also note here that all (save a few) of my previously earned achievements succesfully synched with my Live account when I added it to my offline profile.

I would really like to hear what all of your experiences are in this matter and what you think is the safest way for me to continue.

So, in summary: how risky is modding gamesaves/profiles in your experience? And do you think I should retry to add my Live account to my offline profile, or should I rehash/resign all my old savegames to a freshly downloaded Live profile?
(and if you think rehashing is the way to go: should I do all games at once and be done with it, or do them one by one as I play them?)

    1. Back up your profile on your pc.
    2. Recover fresh profile (live profile) from xbox live.
    3. Rehash saved so u can use them with your live profile.

using modded saves and such is save as long as you do it within the boundaries. For example, using a 1g popup save is not smart, but using a legit save order would seem save.

nothing can ever be considered as completely safe youre breaking all the rules/terms and conditions m/s have come up with who can say that youll never get a ban or a gamerscore reset .

myself i just play online with a flashed console and will continue to do so for as long as is possible if i get a ban then i shall just reflash another consolse and repeat the proccess.

as for yourself if you mod gamerscore as in load and pop achievements etc youre probably better off getting a new account anyway as all the games youve played on that account you will no longer be able to earn anymore further achievements from them .

consider what you do carefully and as accurate and safely as possible ..

I understand that there is always some risk involved, but I find it ridiculous that you can't add an existing live account to your xbox profile, that's why I'm doing this. It's basically a big 'f* you' to gamers that play on both PC and Xbox, unless you join Live from the moment you get your Xbox.

I guess I can always start over with a new account if I do get banned in the end (at the expense perhaps of a couple months of Live access).

What I don't get though: why do you say I won't be able to earn achievements anymore on my account? Because you're sure I will get banned? Or can't you earn achievements if you're playing with rehashed/resigned gamesaves?

You can earn achievements with resigned gamesaves. Just look around on this site.

If you excessively ver use gamesaves they might caught you and ban your account.

For example obtaining 10k achievements in one day with games that you cant even beat in that short amount of time... Just keep it realistic...

What I do myself is mod games I beat in the past but are not 1000/1000 yet for example: Spiderman 3 (year 2008 or something), unlock rest offline. On this way they have no timeframe @ all to determine anything.
