i read around a bit and thought the FSD install could be fiddly so went with xex loader with a game on a usb drive and it worked a treat - can put my disks away now! finally, noiseless gaming. anyhoo, i read you should delete the update folder when extracting ISOs which i've done. is there anything else that you strictly shouldn't do? or should do? any advice welcome thanks noob
Generally dashlaunch (If installed) has protection against these sorta updates while it's still good to delete this just incase, it's not always high precaution due to the fact cOz has tried to make things as noob protected as possible at this point. Other then that just don't **** around and try updating your dash, hoping on live or etc and you should be fine doing what ever else you'd like to do. If you do decide to update your dash do the research first realize that you can't do it via a standard M$ update and etc, and always have a backup plan ready such as a NAND reader incase you do Flubber up in the process ( Whilist I'm a cheap lazy bastard and never had a backup in place I never fucked up on it either ).
thanks mate, no ethernet cable plugged in or anything so no updates or updating of any kind. i did think about it due to playing the games over the network from my PC via connectx (i think) but nah, i'll keep it simple
