I didn't even know there was a black rarity. I will test them when I get home in the morning. However, I'm sure someone else will have it tested by then.

Were did you pull the codes from?
I'd like to know how to extract the code from a weapon

 

I added these codes to my inventory but in game they are not there. I don't believe I did anything wrong in the uploading process. Is it possible the game doesn't recognize the code?

EDIT: Never mind. I never checked to make sure there was a manufacturer. Haha. Now I feel dumb. =P

 

They need to be added into your bank from Gibbed. Then you must return them to the bank before exiting the game or they'll be deleted.

In your backpack select the item you wish to extract the code from

Right click and select copy

then paste the code into a notepad or something

 

The Codes work but you can only keep the wepons if you put them back in the bank (Vault)........!!!!.

I cant exactly anwser your question i didnt pull the codes from the weapon it was a hybrid glitch im not to sure how happened.
I will get around to legitly pull the codes from the weapon which will mean more awsome weapons and so on.Im real real sorry i couldnt fully get around to anwsering your question i will get around to it though. Thanks for the concern

 

Just found on gearbox forums that any weapon that has the "Black" rarity is 100% Hacked weapon colour change they say so be carefull they say the "They're officially the "bullshit" rarity in game, and any gun with that color is 100% hacked" Black Rarity - Page 2 - The Gearbox Software Forums

It's not that. The color changes due to the gun being modified with parts that don't belong. Not too sure why it changes to black. I figured has to do with the way rarity is displayed in game.
GAME thinks, "WTF is this?!" lol
So it can't represent it with an actual rarity color.

Once you save the code onto your clipboard buy highlighting and copying you go to the backpack or bank section of the Gibbed editor. After your in the backpack/Bank tab you click on the Paste Code button and your done.JUst make sure if its a Black weapon you put it in the Bank.
