Right i was flashing a elite's nand today had 2 great dumps no errors so ive thought wicked wrote xell to the box pluged it out to power cycle and wired in the wires needed to boot and get my cpu key when i went to power up NOthink not turning on at all so done a bit of searching found u can short the nand out tryed that loads of times nothink so what i did then is typed my command out in nandpro and as i hit enter i flicked the powerswitch on the wall and hey presto it started writing to the nand again so it seems ive found a alternative way to recover your nand if this is usefull please leave a comment splats
This should come in handy for people who may think they have totally effed their drive with a bad flash. Thanks splats.
lol thats a new one on me i normally write to another dummy board and then swap the chips over but your method sounds good if it works all the time
This is a great value to those with a "no power" after nand flash ,,,sounds like you stumbled upon something similar to this,,which I recently had to resort to after much frustration,,, I have since tested this on a few old junkers and after intentionally boofing 10 flashes on 3 boards and fixing them all with this method ,,I'm satisfied that it will work in all cases I was thinking of making a separate tutorial thread for this ,,and searching results I stumbled on this thread,,,thanks splats :good:
Yeh i found out this by accident a year or so back was flashing a jtag in my kitchen when it could not get not no power remember hitting the power button on my plug and then hitting enter on the pc completly by accident and i noticed it writing so i flashed the hacked nand back and it would not power again so i tried what i just did and it worked then i wrote that hehe 19 June 2010 date i did it
