    Files Needed:
    Dash Launch v3.03
    Fake Animation

Setting Up Dashlaunch for Fake Animation
    1. After you download the Dashlaunch file and Fake Animation files i have provided. Extract them and place them on a FAT32 formatted USB drive.
    2. Boot up your console and place them wherever you normally place your Homebrew files.
    3. Load the Default.xex for Dashlaunch.
    4. It will say that the version you have does not match. Update? Click yes.
    5. It will ask you if you want to update your patches. Click yes.
    6. It will say a reboot is required. Click OK and your console will shut down.
    7. Start your console back up, and load the Default.xex again.
    8. Under "Paths," towards the bottom, you will see "Fakeanim." Click on that, and point Dashlaunch to the default.xex in the "Boot Animation" folder.
    9. Click RB. Scroll over where you wish to save your launch.ini and press Y to delete the old one, and press X to save the new one.

    Setting Up Fake Animation
    1. When you have set the "Fakeanim" path in Dashlaunch, shut your console down and restart it.
    2. You will see a red screen for a moment, then the full boot animation.
    3. If you seen the red screen, and full boot animation, you must now delete your bootanim.xex from your NAND. DO NOT do this if you don't have a way to reflash your NAND if you mess something up. You will have to rebuild a NAND image, and flash it if you messed this up. Keep that in mind.
    4. You can delete the bootanim.xex from the NAND via Free Style Dash, or FTP. Do delete the bootanim.xex via FSD, just go into options>General Options> then towards the bottom of the check boxes list, you will see "File Manager Advanced Mode." Click that so there is a check next to it. You man now delete the bootanim.xex from the NAND in the File Manager. The NAND will be labeled as "Flash" in the File Manager.
    5. Reboot your console, and you should see the red screen again, and now a new boot animation.

    Tweaking Fake Animation
    1. Note how long it takes the red screen to disappear. That is there to tweak the "cut off" time.
    2. If you don't see the red screen, then open the fakeanim.ini that is located in the Boot Animation folder. Set the "delay" to a higher number. On slims, it's normally 5 and on phats, it's normally 13.
    3. If you are seeing the red screen for too long, then open the fakeanim.ini located in the Boot Animation folder, and set the "delay" to a lower number.

Every time you change the "delay" number, you are adding (raising) 250ms to the red screen, and when you are lowering the "delay" number, you are taking away 250ms. The "delay" has a range of 1-100.

    4. Repeat the necessary steps (2 or 3 depending) until the red screen is as SHORT AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT CUTTING ANY OF THE ANIMATION OUT.
    5. When you are happy with your configuration, open the fakeanim.ini again.
    6. Change the "calibration" to 0. That disables the red calibration screen and replaces it with a black one.
    7. Save the fakeanim.ini and replace the one on your console.
    8. Enjoy your custom boot animation!

    Changing Boot Animation
They MUST be .WMV files. There are no specific length requirements or restrictions.

    1. Copy the .WMV file you want as your boot animation to a FAT32 formatted USB drive.
    2. Place that .WMV file in the jukebox folder of Boot Animation.
    3. Delete any other .WMV files that are there. Included earlier were 4 of the .WMV files that were included in this release. They aren't needed and you may delete them.

Don't Like Having Custom Boot Animations?
    1. Don't delete anything just yet!!
    2. Download the stock bootanim.xex (Made for kernel 15574. Not really sure that matters.)
    3. Extract the bootanime.xex.rar and place the file on a FAT32 formatted USB stick
    4. Boot your console up and go to the Freestyle Dash File Manager.
    5. Place the bootanim.xex in the FLASH.
    6. Reboot your console to ensure it's right. (it will play the original boot animation)
    7. Load Dashlaunch up and go to the "paths" section.
    8. Where it says "Fakeanim." Press Y to clear the path.
    9. Click RB then press Y to delete the old launch.ini and X to save the new launch.ini.
    10. Reboot to make sure again.
    11. Remove the Boot Animation folder from your HDD or wherever you installed it.

I don't do vids man. If they can't follow step by step instructions, a video won't help any.

Positive it's a true WMV? Tweak your config a little to see if that helps.

I had to convert it to WMV, could be a codec problem.
