Do not play halo 4 online! (halo 4 ban wave has started)

doesn't matter if you bought the "legit" game or not, it's still a leak 1 month early so if they want they can ban you

Might be a way to undo the achievements i earned by removing the GPD.

If you haven't connected to Xbox LIVE since you got the achievements, I can remove the GPD if you want.

 

Knowone has posted their profile or console being banned yet, I will believe it when someone on XPG is banned for plying it early

 

i know a few guys playing it for the past few days and there playing online there not banned yet

 

I tried to remove the GPD but then microsoft flagged the profile as corrupt, redownloaded it and the Halo 4 would still show up in my achievements.
They better not ban me i only got 10G for Halo 4..ah well if they do ill be out of the xbox scene for a while.
I guess its my own fault i should've anticipated this as it is a leak afterall.

 

You can always find stories like that about leaked games, there one stories for MW2, MW3, Max Payne, and so on. I played all of them early, hell on MW3 I was 1 prestige level 42 the day the came came out, did I get banned?!? NO.

It is scare tactics from different sites. Stepto said before you can NOT be banned for playing a legit copy of a game early and there is no way for them to tell the difference.

The difference here is that what is floating around now is a stolen copy, not a legitimate one and at this point, only devs should be playing. They can most definitely tell if you're a dev who is supposed to be playing vs a joe blow regular user. But meh, go ahead and get banned...

 

Most of the sites that post those stories, are game review sites. This is my opinion, The more people that are playing the game and leaving their own review online, that is that much less traffic they get on their site. Every major title that is released early, those stories pop on sites like that, with no official statement from Microsoft, just their words.

Even if the copy was stolen, it is still out there for the people can get to it. It is a legit Retail disc, and going by what Stepto said, should be able to play it with no problem.

I won't get banned, because I am not playing it, hell I don't even like Halo.

Everyone should stop worrying about this, Microsoft has not released anything about banning people who are on Halo4 Early

 

Why would Microsoft need to post anything about banning people for pre release title play?

A few more bans have happened this morning to a couple more of my friends who played halo 4 online, one of them only played the campaign..

If you have played halo 4 online at some point then theres a big chance you will eventually get hit with the banhammer.

 

Yes, this isn't the case of a retailer selling the game early, this is a case of someone leaking the game developed by M$, you can bet your ass there will be bans. There already has been bans. Don't really know what more proof people need.....

 

Agreed with the above, there isn't a large dispatch of this title yet so 100s of people popping up all over the world online gives M$ the knowledge that these are not legit copies. Expect more bans to come including me just couldn't help myself.

 

Why would you ever play a game early while connected, and then only play the campaign???

 

if you played online there no way to un do it (im not sure if its even possible offline it might be im not sure ^_^ XD)
