Unresolved Does anybody think that broken Minecraft saves will be working after the update?

    No because your save is corrupt it will not be able to fix.

    no, there is no possible way any mojang updates will fix your broken corrupted saves.

    you could try to decompress your savegame.dat and remove all the items manually in hexedit
