Just tried to log on to Xbox live and it can't sign me in. I tested connection, it connected to my wireless fine but then it came up with MTU error. It's been fine all day. But my iPad and pc are working fine wirelessly. I don't understand? I tried turning off wireless for 30 seconds as suggested on the error message but still get the same message when I reconnect. Edit Xbox live twitter support pointed me to this page - http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-...k-does-not-have-sufficient-mtu-setting-979104 but I'm having trouble loading the page.
I'm pissed off now, tried everything from port forwarding to Dmz settings on my virgin super hub. I give up for tonight. Will try again tomorrow, It was working fine though all day as I was on DOA 5 kickin some ***, although i was getting signed out quite frequently not from xbl but the game itself from their servers but I thought that was common as their servers wasn't quite ready.. Is it possible I could be banned?
Banned nope. Connection=bad. Seems as if youve been hit my friend. It should be fine tomorrow unlesss somebody keeps hitting your ip.

I had this **** about 11pm when I got on my xbox! I tryed downloading the update to battlefield 7 it keeps saying download stopped for bf3 even when playing doubledragon neon (an offline game) I just ripped the cable outta my box & put boarderlands on so i'll check l8r. I've got a prefect connection & test come back fine I haven't had a MTU error since i pulled my cable out lol so that will sort that (but no xbox live course which I can do without 2day) Think this is a uk thing as 3 of my m8's on skype had the same problem... UK can't alwayz be the best country in the world all the time (of course that ********) It seems to be fine now I'll let you know if it signs me out again or stops my download! God luck guyz
Yes stopps my downloads straight away when started boarderlands 2 but even if network settings set to offline but maybe it's coz i'm playin this??? Not been kicked out just yet!
Just got up ad tested my connection. Still got this problem. Mtu error, Flubber me. Looks like no Xbox live for me today. It's weird as my other devices are working just fine wirelessly including my ipad.
well after all morning on the phone and virgin trying to charge me for something i dont need they decided that theys a problem with there servers in sum sub area and there working on it with no time frame lmfao to say there a big company there support suck and cant be leave that they tried to charge me extra for some service which i dont need or want
what did they try n sell you? :LOL: Their customer service is weak. Its something to do with virgin and Microsoft. Just checked the xbox live status here: http://support.xbox....box-live-status We just have to wait it out mate, other people I've found on twitter are having the same dam problem with xbox mtu errors and they are all on virgin. I say this It better be sorted asap. It been down for like 12hrs now.
it was some support service they was trying to sell me lmao charged buy amount of time the problem took to fix and what the problem was and yer looks like wait it out of pun xbox via a proxy
There's always a problem with the cable when theres this sort of weather but hey it might be richard branson seen as it is VIRGIN MEDIA after all and playing about as he has with the train service virgin hahahah
