HI, just want to casually start a dialog on modding the gpd directly for use in online profiles in Borderlands 2.
I've attached a picture of Jizza's decompiled GPD editor which original thread was taken offline:
    DecompGPDeditor.PNG

I see that there's a LZ01X and an Unreal module or form.
I know with unreal games LZ0 compression is commonly used.
A part from whatever compression is used for certain games,
when it comes to GPDs are they encrypted or in a STFS format?

When I tried to use his editor to mod a GPD the profile loaded fine but when loading Borderlands 2 the associated game save wouldn't be recognized. So it appears there's something inside the GPD that connects the associated game saves together?

What are your thoughts on this? Let's discuss.

there are a couple of changes when looking at a offline and online profile. i know mine added a long key of some sort into two spots when comparing the same gpd in my offline and online account. there must be some sort of check that ends up wiping out badass points even if the online profile is offline at the time.

I have it... the GPD editor by Jizza Beez.. but it won't work for online profiles it seems because of those keys as Caboose referred to.
And I'm not even sure if it will work for offline profiles as I didn't test for that, Smoko made such an awesome GPD anyway that I didn't see a need to test this GPD thing on offline profiles.
    Anyway.. here's what I got:
It uses an LZO compression .dll and technical directions are non-existant with files. but if you look at Smoko's GPD with it it's apparently easy to tell where the Bad ass tokens are.

It's a VB app so it's SUPER easy to decompile.. maybe someone can play around with it and figure out how to add in support for online profiles.

I've been too busy with learning to make my own decompression tool for Dungeon Defenders. Since fairchilds only worked for game saves roughly under 250KBs. Anyway I got off topic... enjoy that GPD editor... As far as I know it's no longer avail.

    SO back on topic..
Caboose, so you think game itself makes a custom hash keys to verify GPD validity?
Think it would be using a native M$ dependency for that or something custom?
I just stumbled upon xcompress.dll btw incase you need it?

use this to look at smoke's original modded gpd, then open a second instance of this tool and open your live gpd after you have loaded it in your profile and got to the main menu screen and compare them side by side. you will see what i am referring too. the game does something to the gpd but maybe it just has to do with the reset glitch. hopefully once they patch that it will work.
