Borderlands 2 GOLDEN KEY

LIke some people i didnt pr-order BL2 and didnt get a Golden key to open the Loot chest in Sanctuary.
But you can get a Golden key by signing up for "Shift" on Gearbox website or on your Xbox360 when you are signed into game.

Create account there and link your Gamertag.
As of 9/17/12 website linking is not available. SO do it on LIVE

In Game : In the main menu go to "EXTRAS", then "Shift code" and create account here also.

Once completed you will get confirmation email. Go to your email and confirm it. About 3-5 minutes later check
in Extras/Shift code and you should have a message saying you have unlocked a Golden Key

I just did mine today on the Xbox and it worked fine.

No idea where to get my "Shift Code" from, it's asking for it on the Xbox!!

 

Where is the code we need Sensi? I've looked all over for the key until I realized it was DLC

No code, i just created the account on the xbox and confirmed email on pc and then it popped up saying new content available in extras

 

It took a coupe minutes before i got the pop up saying i got the key.

The character level determines what loot you get.
So if you open with a level 50 you get a better weapon/item
Open with level 6 and you get weaker weapon/item

Open it with a level 50, then place items in Claptrap safe for your other characters to use. WIN WIN
