I doubt the game will be dead in a few months, if there are any CS players from back in the day on the consoles this game will be alive for many years to come. CS is one of the best FPS games ever. But you can guarantee most of the CoD fanboys will buy it expecting it to be an easy game with quick-scoping and shtuff.
I agree CS got me and many of my other friends into online gaming. I still remember the bunny hop from 1.3 and going to lan centers with my friends and i still play source to this day now and then on my PC.
Yeah, it's also got hundreds of players still on 1.6 and I think there is at least a thousand on CS: Source.
It's a good game even offline. Everything is balanced and there is nothing that overpowers everything. I will not be releasing mods for this game because it will ruin the online for everyone. I also highly doubt anyone will figure out how to do it.

I would like to see some mods for Offline Mode because that will help us getting the achievements much easier.

I understand what your saying yeah It would Flubber it up online after a while BUT what about for the offline bots surely that could work and possibly stat editor if possible to help towards achievements for people personally I'd just love the mods for offline bots I think that would be good fun and any how if you can do it you should (just offline bot mode modes) as you know someone will do it might as-well be you! PC get all the fun stuff they are going to be releasing a Zombie mod for the game i dont understand how they are ok with people making mods and steam sell them. Dont quote me on that its just what I've heard?
Have you found anything worth transfering over from RGH to retail yet, I want to purchase this on XBLA but unless there are some mods just for the Offline Bot mode I don't think I'll bother and you seem to be the mad to do it lol
I have this bought and i think its great offline or online You can also get gamerscore in private matches with mates or just bots.
