Does changing your head to any block still work?

Yes it does, I just changed mine to TNT earlier. Using the save editor in 360Rev of course.

 

how you do it

 

Put on any helmet, and then open up the modding tool. The helmet slot is #103 (i think) and if you change that to a different block it will appear as your head.

it does work i put ice on my head you cant put a cake on your head though i guess some things dont work you will have to try it to see if it works or not

 

TNT works for sure. Ice does, Dirt/Grass does. Any more to add to the list?

I think bedrock and pumpkins work.

 

It has to be full blocks. No half blicks. Buckets fences etc but full blocks like dirt glass tnt diamond etc.

I was really wishing that the glowstone, would actually glow if it was used.. but it does not, neither does the jack-o-lanterns.
