I know... I was just telling him that seeing as he isn't very informed on this topic much yet. I used some disk brand called memorex and only about 1 of 8 would work without freezing a game, and that's on an XGD2.
If it loads into the game, then it's not his discs, it will be the mods he's using. He's probably using multiple scripts too frequently. It could also be your common mods.
My Memorex work 80% of the time or better. That's on both XGD3 and XGD2. It might be that he has his game patched to different mods. Could have to clear cashe as well.
You're lucky haha, Memorex is so much cheaper, it would be awesome if it worked for me. Maybe i just bought a bad batch. I just use verbatims and tell other newcomers to use them because c4eva (the group that makes flashing software) advises everyone to use that and an ihas burner flashed with burner max firmware. For XGD2 you should only need good disks. This is what also happens to me whenever i get my hopes up and try to use one of the disks from the bad Memorex batch that i bought a while ago.
hh: Well now it makes more sense, when i last tried Memorex it was before the burner max firmware was even out.
I don't understand how so many people are having all these problems with these script mods, I have had them since even before they were released to the public and have worked fine, I'm not sure, maybe it's because I don't use discs, not too sure.
