ive hooked it up to the xbox then to the pc if i reboot the xbox why its plugged in to the pc i get error E64 also if i boot the xbox with the usb lead unpluged from the pc it boots fine but once i plug the usb lead back in the pc my pc dont detect it
I looked up what I could trying to help you out a little,, but this is what I got, This error occurs if something goes wrong while flashing the drive or installing a modchip.A sign for it is that the dvd-drive doesnt eject the tray anymore. DVD drive timed out during reset. It can also be caused by a faulty DVD power or SATA cables Known Fixes: 1) Check the DVD power and SATA cable for damages and replace them if necessary. 2) If you have soldered a modchip to the drive recently make sure it is sinstalled properly otherwise the flash chip isnt powered. 3) The flash chip must be desoldered and reflashed with an external programmer, recover the dvd-key if you can (unless you have a backup)... I'm still scratching my head on this one,,, Are you using a slim?
its before that point ive managed to get it to boot connected to the pc without it e64 it was to do with the ribbon cable i disconnected and reconnected seems to be ok now but me pc is still Not detecting it on my pc any one got any ideas i need the pc to see it so i can install the drivers im using windows XP . x360dock installed to a fat console
is the ribbon cable in correctly. i know with the xk3y it's easy to flip the ribbon cable. also what is your dashboard version. i read online that it only supports up to 2.0.13604.0
Just read it supports this dashboard number Taken from 360 parts site "Confirmed working on dashboard 2.0.14699 using BoxZii 1.08 software! Go to www.boxzii.com " http://www.360parts....49c29169a39c7b6 Also heres a PHAT installation vid Heres the link for the 1.08 http://www.boxzii.com/boxziiv108.rar
that's good then. they must not ever update their own page then because on the x360dock site it only says up to 13604 but if it's later then that's great. what dash are you on Bezza?
14699 mate its was when i put it nicely on my drive it would not work i got it working then put my xbox back together E64 again took my case off my box and just let the x360dock lay how it wants and its working yer i know paddy ive got that already mate just a heads up for anyone if you was to use boxzii you would still need x360dock drivers from there site
it's shorting somewhere. i would make sure that you get enough foam tape to cover everything under and on top of the board. it sounds like it is shorting against the aluminum on the top of the case or against the dvdrom.
yer i electric taped it up loads mate first and used some like foam tape stuff as well think its moveing the wires as i put the case back on you cant be ruff with it easther the connectors are quite flimsy
