Thinking of buying a jtag ????

Are you thinking of buying a jtag , then read this and think on before commiting!

Before you commit to buying a jtag theres a few things to think about and consider.


Are you confident inserting files or using ftp transfer ?

All files will need to manually inserted on your jtag, from the very first time you wish to use your new toy aka jtag. If you struggle with the basics like FTP transfer or manually inserting files then maybe a jtag isnt for you.

Can you fix RROD or know someone that can ?

Its a common fact that Jtagged xboxs suffer from RROD. This is mainly caused by voltage inconsistencies but there are other issues as well. Please remember that xbox360s werent designed to have this done, it is an xploit and therefore isnt totally bombproof.

Am i buying a jtag to make money ?

If you think that your going to get a jtag and make money from it then let me just say thats not true!
Its getting harder and harder to make money from a jtag due to the influx of people jumping on bandwagons.


Have i researched fully how to use a jtag ?

Please do your homework before buying a jtag. We will help on the forums as much as possible , but remember search is your friend!!!

If your hundred percent sure you understand how to use a jtag then ask Splats to hook you up . Hes bonified 100% Legit and provides an excellant service, However please remember that he only supplies the jtagged xbox , NOT ANY FILES!!!

I did most if not all of the above before I bought a jtag, but I enjoy leaning new stuff. The main thing I did is research, (and bug bullet lol).

Got my jtag off splats too!

All the relevant information you need to setup a jtag is poted within this site, if theres something that you need help with please just post a thread stating your problem and we will help you out. By posting your problems other people will benifit , and it saves us repeating things in the shoutbox over and over!

I have a few questions. I am interested in the Xbox Live Arcade games. being in the game saving scene I am also interested in getting achievements. can you play these games with your gamertag and still update then with a legit console. also will it set off any flags if you have an arcade game on your tag if you haven't bought it.

I think I am going to get one done anyways as I just bought a RROD console that I am hoping is old enough to get done.

 

I use my legit profile on my jtag all the time and then sync to live

 

i have what may be a dumb question. when buying a jtag is there a main reason people prefer one type of board over another (Xenon/Zephyr/Jasper/Falcon) is there a performance difference or is is mainly for the hdmi or what? been looking around and can't really find a reason.

 

to do with reliability too m8, xenon first gen 360 and non hdmi prone to rrod, jasper the latest jtag = very slim chance of rrod also the temps that newer mobos run at are much lower than earlier revisions. Jaspers are more reliable but more expensive too

 

ok that's what i was really wanting to know. i see people always saying selling a jasper or looking for a falcon and i just wanted to know if there was a performance reason or if some were just more rare than others. thanks for info mad.

I am thinking of buying a Jtag. unfortunately for me Splats is going on a hoilyday so does anyone else sell Jtags that are as trustworthy

 

I believe ADDZ has some Jtags for sale , and he is 100% legit.

I got my jtag of splats and very happy with it. But just wish I was given the original Nand to allow me to update to future Dashboard
A mate told me i could not update unless i have it

 

you can use a nand dump of your current nand image for future dashboard updates

Was just a bit confused with what nand i should have . I did get the nand using flash360 but mate told me i would need extra files if i wanted to update

 

as long as ya have a nand dump thats all ya need as that contains everything for future updates just keep ya copy of your nand dump safe and enjoy ya jtag
thers various tuts on here as to how to get updated when new dash versions drop
