hello xpg im here to tell you how to how to get you music/speaking files from the xwb Requirements: extractor,encoder/decoder http://www.mediafire.com/download/5zs9h1o653znj19/mine_craft_audio.rar xmash http://www.mediafire.com/?b1ejdi52q0sr85i any game that has xwb audio files (for this one i will be using minecraft) Extracting files from xwb okay lets get started extract all the files in the .rar file to your desktop once you do that locate the file (xwb) then open the folder unxwb and drag the xwb on top of unxwb then it will pop up asking you where you want to save it you don't have to name it just select the file where you want it to go and press save once you go to the folder you will see a lot of .wav files you arnt done yet sincce you cant hear them encoding okay for this step you will open up xmash folder and then you will locate the .wav files that you extracted from xwb then drag the wav file on the xmash file to encode the files once its done (this will take 1-3 mins tops depending on the size of the file) once it is done you will have a file that would look something like this 0000000b.wav_RIFF_1.xma once you have that file you can move to the next step converting back to a listenable .wav file this is the final open up towav folder take the 0000000b.wav_RIFF_1.xma file and drop it on towav program to convert the file now you done and now you can hear the file
Thanks for the tut, I can extract the files from the wbx like in step 1, but whenever i click on the exe for xmash it just closes imediately and i cannot do anything else... Is it something wrong on my end?
lol. Thanks. Even when i drag the file over to xmash it just closes without doing anything. If it helps i am extracting from resident..xwb and streamed.xwb and can get both to extract its just when i drag the wav file over to xmash it does nothing, just opens then closes. Sorry for not being more in depth in that last post.
when you open the xwb you will get wav files then you drag that into the xmash to make the xma the use to wav to make a listenable file give me the files and i will test it
Thanks for answering. I was able to get the music from the game. Im trying to listen to some of the sound effects and its working but all im getting is clicking noises on all the files. Ill keep messing with it.
Sorry this is posted so late, but I can't get the xmash portion to work, not even on the sample file you provided. Not really sure why it won't work. It does what a previous poster complained about. It simple closes really fast after dragging and dropping the file onto the program. I can see it saying failure, if I look really fast before it closes. I would like some help if anyone can.
