AS THE OLD TUT ON HERE PEEPS WERE USING WAS REALLY OLD NOW AND WAS MADE BEFORE RGHS EXISTED HERES A NEW UPGRADED VERSION THANKS!

    you will need A
    Jtag/rgh
    USB
    flash 360
    XeBuild 2.01
get flash360 and xebuild here guys step 1
    1. Boot Your Jtag/RGH into XeLL(Press Eject)
    2. Wait a few seconds
    3. You will see your CPU Key
    4. Write Your CPU Key on a piece or paper or a notepad document or you can take a picture and keep as a backup

    step2
    1. Plug Your USB into your computer
    2. Put Flash360 onto your USB
    3. Plug Your USB Into your Jtag/RGH
    4. Goto XeXMenu or freestyle dashs file manager > USB > Flash360 Folder > Flash360.XEX
    5. When Flash360 Starts Press 'X' Then 'A'
    6. When it gets to 100% Press 'BACK'
    7. Remove Your USB From JTAG/RGH Then Plug it Back Into your computer

    step 3
    1. Open XeBuild
    2. Press Open > Find Your USB > Flash360 Folder > flashdmp.bin
    3. Press Save > Find Your USB > Flash360 Folder > Name it: updflash.bin
    4. Now Add Your CPU Key Where It Says CPU Key
    5. Change The 'Kernel Version' To The dashboard/Kernel you would like
    6. Click 'Generate Hacked image'

    step 4
    1. Plus USB Back Into JTAG/RGH
    2. Goto XeXMenu or freestyle dashs file manager > USB > Flash360 Folder > Flash360.XEX
    3. Press 'A' > 'A' > 'Start' > 'A'
    4. When Finished Press 'Back'
    5. Restart JTAG/RGH
    6. Wait 30 Seconds
    7. Turn JTAG/RGH Back ON

    step 5
NOW THAT YOUV UPDATED ITS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO KEEP YOUR NAND AND CPU KEY BACKED UP
far to many people have problems they cant fix because they dont have there cpu key that key can be the diffrence between your xbox going in the bucket or being fixed (always back up your cpu/nand) then back up again to be safe you can never have to many copys
good ways to do this are
Email you could email yourself your keys and your nand and they willl always be safe(probably best way)
CD/DVD you can backup on cd or dvd good method but disks get scratched so remember to keep somewhere safe
keep on a harddrive on your pc this is ok but if it aint on an external and you need to format your going to lose it

    step 6
PROFIT you now have your jtag/rgh updated enjoy and remember the very last step ALWAYS BACK YOUR stuff UP.

Hey guys :). I've been trying this method for the last couple hours and I can't seem to generate a hacked image. I have dumped the nand from my xbox, put it on my pc and grabbed my cpu key, entered in my console (falcon) but when I click generate image I get this error:

"ERROR: There was one or more errors while checking your settings, this usually means there is something very wrong with your NAND! There is no way to bypass this check at this time."

Any input would be much appreciated.

I've heard people saying to unplug the hdd, and the power cable then let it sit for two minutes.
I read this and is there a simpler way to update the nand without bricking it?

Are you going to update this post for people wanting to update to 16197? I already updated mine and was wondering if I should go ahead and make another thread showing how to do it.

EDIT.. I'll just post the download link for the newest version of xeBuild GUI. (2.085) which includes the 2.0.16197 kernel.

Just follow this tutorial for the new dashboard and voila!
