How to burn your XGD3 backup (IMGBURN) (NEW VERSION) *No Errors*

Get Imgburn 2.5.6.0 here:

XGD3 backups must be made with latest version of XBC and 0800 v3.
First ensure you run the latest ImgBurn (2.5.6.0 was the time of writing)



Now go to Tools > Settings


Go to Write tab and ensure Layer Break is set to Calculate Optimal


So on the startup screen again, press Write image file to disc


Choose your .dvd file in source and press Write


You’ll get a message, choose Truncate


After a while….


This is the log after the burning is completed.


That’s it!
You finished burning, now you can store somewhere safe your original game

tried it. burned went ok. now to figure out wut firmware i need to upgrade Lite-on DG-16D2S 74850c LT+1.91 to LT+2.0 to see if it works

should XGD3 game verify with ABGX? I have a few games that burnt and verified are tested working but ABGX gives me a layerbreak errror. I don't know how the games were ripped.

No ABGX is being worked on now, it won't verify your games but if they are ripped with 0800 and burned good then you should be OK.

I hope not because I just bought an Asus drive that is spoofed it to think its a Liteon and flased with burnermax firmware. I would hate to think I did that for nothing

From what I heard you can do it with any burner, however the way you're doing it is safer from ban.

I have some questions about truncating. How much worse is this than buying a special drive? Is it still get caught if you're not careful or is is a random ban type deal?

I think it all depends where the new security checks are on the game. if they are in that missing portion of the game they quite possibly you would still get yourself banned sooner or later but that is just my opinion.
