Ok this tutorial is a noobs guide to gamesaving.

This tutorial is based on the presumption that you have a basic pc knowledge.

Things you will need :

* A save device (i.e Hdd, MU, Usb )

* Means of transfering files too and from said save device (i.e Transfer cable )

* Device xplorer ( Xport360, usbxtaf, xplorer360 )

* A resigner ( We will use 360Revolution )

Assuming you have the above , lets get started shall we!

Xploring your save device :

* Lets open your save device ( I will be using a Hdd with xport 360 and a transfer cable)

* Now that my Hdd is connected to my PC via a transfer cable i will read my device using xport 360


* Once you opened xport 360, click ok



* Now click on your device in the lefthand window and select partition 3 and click that.



* Now click content and you will see your user profile appear in the right hand window. ( Profile number is like this : E00067573432 )



Saving your Ids to 360Revolution:

* Now drag and drop a save from your profile onto your desktop

* Drag the save onto 360Revolution ( Make sure you are signed in ) this will open the resigner for you.

* Or you can select the resigner manually.

* Once you have opened your save your profile ids, console ids will show on the resigner ...



* Press the yellow button (top left)select save and a set you want to save your ids to. (I chose set 1 )

Using a downloaded save:

* Assuming you have downloaded a save you would like to use we now open that save in the resigner

* Im using a red dead redemption save. You will see the ids are different to my own.



* Select your ids from the dropdown as shown in the image ( remember i saved mine to set 1 )

* Now you will notice the ids have changed to the ones we save earlier in the tutorial.

* Press the resign/rehash button and the save is resigned!

Putting the save on your profile:

* Open xport360 ( Or whichever means your using to xplore your device )

* Open partition 3

* Open content

* Click on your profile Id

* Drag and drop the save you resigned back into the xplorer and thats it!

Note

Once the save is resigned, putting the resigned save on your profile is the reverse of the first steps in the tutorial!

should be a great ground breaker for the noobs who have no idea where to start. This should get them going in the right direction now.

One adition that I would make is use party buffalo explorer which I have started using and is very good as it lists and names most files on your device

This is just a basic getting to grips with the fundamentals tutorial for the begginers here Mada.

I didnt want to confuse the tutorial with a hundred different device xplorers

I may look into doing a tut for each different xplorer though, if anyone else would like to chip in please feel free

As a side note, I intent on doing tutorials for all new editors that are released in 360Revolution too.

Should make it all a little less taxing for the beginners.

could someone upload usbxtaf as a download through this site, or provide a link (not megaupload, for some reason it will not let me download anything from them) im trying to mod a cvm3 save through my slim console, so i presume if i use usbxtaf, it will let me find my save that i have put onto a formatted usb drive, is this correct?

thanks bullet i see it's basically like using modio except without the high chance of your save being corrupted after use

Just make a post in the 360Revolution support forums with your exact problem.
Im sure it can be resolved real easy

Thanks for the direction man, sorry to slip it in. I just heard a lot of bad things about modio and dont wanna go that route. Much rather go with 360R. Its just so clean and proper, did you guys make that?
on another note ive not done any of this b4, is there a usb tut, im sure its simple but...to see it done is always best.

Indeed it is very well explained.. So with this every new Gamer will learn quickly, and should have no more problems. Cause a lot of people still dont know what it means to Rehash and to Resign. Nice

thanks man. I tried that one about three housr ago. I guess it doesnt work onmy xbox. Wasted 7 hrs of my life

It works on all xboxs.

You have only wasted 7 hours of your life if you give up!

the file is empty when i look at it on my xbox . there is not even a setting 1 where i saved primarily. Every time.
