I have all the .net frameworks 2- 4.6 with its updates, and I did a repair to the .net frameworks, but I still get this error. This app must have a problem working with the newer .net frameworks. After I hit continue the app comes as normal but the only problem that me and everyone else is having is that this app isn't seeing any formatted 360 usbs any more, so that makes me think that the app can't seem to read the latest usb format from the 360 formatted device, so this needs updated and the 360 dlls added for more support.
I'm trying to replicate your error by the steps you've given us thus far and I'm not having any luck. It's working for me (Shortcut > Admin) with no issues on 3 different machines and OSs -- I have all available .NET Frameworks as well. Try manually uninstalling all .NET Frameworks, restart, then manually install them, restart, then try launching 360Revolution as admin. The repair process could have easily corrupted one of them, no better way to be sure. Also, what OS are you running? Lastly, we are aware of some users experience USB issues. If you've formatted your USB drive on the 360 after the 2TB USB support Dashboard Update (Apr 30, 2015) then the chances are 360Revolution will not see it. Anything after that dashboard update you should be able to go into the drive simply using Windows Explorer giving you the ability to extract/inject files without the need of any 360 USB Explorer software. You just have to show hidden files. Anything newer than the 2TB support preview dashboard update may cause discovery issues in 360Revolution for some users and their USB devices. We will be looking into post 2TB support preview dashboard update USB support for 360Revolution. However, depending on some variables such as when you formatted your USB Drive on the 360 and what kind of USB drive it is, as well as Data Capacity could affect why 360Revolution may not see yours.
the usb is formatted after the 2TB support update, 32GB; As for the OS its windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64) with the latest updates, and i had a Microsoft support staff take a look, the .net frameworks seem to be running fine they said, so this is an odd error cause even they don't know what could be causing it at your application start.
Seems to be a DEP issue, as the program isn't even launching to begin with... http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Change-Data-Execution-Prevention-settings?SignedIn=1Nice Look into this, they have one for Windows 10 as well!
Seems to be launching for me without any problems on Windows 10 version 1024, Windows 10 version 1511, Windows 7, and Windows XP.
Indeed, which is why I always try replicating the user's issue on 3 or 4 different machines to isolate the issue and which is also why we always encourage people that are having issues to give as much information to us as possible (including but not limited to; OS version, anti-virus/malware software, firewall settings -- if tampered with to an extreme level, etc...) so that we can isolate the issue for them and rectify it whether on our side or the user side.
XPGIamcoolz 360 revolution can't be ran without DEP. Win 7 SP 1 x64 (Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601) MalwareBytes anti-malware its in the exclusion list Malwarebytes Anti-exploit program, and in its exclusion list Allowed through the default windows firewall on all ports it runs it just has the issue with the .net framework that this app supports, by the way support for .net framework 4.61 and 4.62 need to be added; Here is my latest pop up before app start System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string "" to type 'Boolean' is not valid. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ParseDouble(String Value, NumberFormatInfo NumberFormat) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToBoolean(String Value) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToBoolean(String Value) at ..() at ..(Object , EventArgs ) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at DevComponents.DotNetBar.Metro.MetroAppForm.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
I have .NET Framework 4.6.1 through Windows 10 version 1511 update and manually installed 4.6.2. I can't seem to replicate your error. 360Revolution is loading up just fine for me. Could be a conflicting or bad .NET Framework install for windows 7 as the windows 7 machine I've tried doesn't have 4.6.1 or 4.6.2 (yet). I'll try that and go from there. Judging by the error report; if you have 360Revolution in a Read Only folder or has Read Only, that could be causing some issues as well. Double check that you have it as Read/Write and/or in a Read/Write folder. Meanwhile, try downloading a fresh copy of 360Revolution as well. Best we try to isolate the issue one step at a time given (and luckily) that I have a few machines with different OSs at my disposal to try to recreate and rectify the issue.

What do you mean it cannot be ran with DEP? When you run the application, you get this error right away? Because you're getting this particular error which makes me think you're entering in some kind of input into the program and it is spitting it back out at you... System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string "" to type 'Boolean' is not valid. Have you tried running the program as an administrator? I know it seems like a silly thing to ask, but I figure I would ask.
My .net framework error has been repaired with the latest update to fix the apps latest issues so thanks very much. as for what my problem with the .netframeworks, I still don't know what caused it to have that popup come up everytime the app opened. At least my problem for now went away so thanks sirs for all your help with this. This issue may be closed admin
