How to Install Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain360 Edition Multi Disc GUIDE TO INSTALL IN LESS THEN 10 EASY STEPS - by Irish .XPGAMESAVES. ***Sorry guys but you need an Internal HDD bigger than 4 GB + to get this game to work!*** Step 1: Download the file from *Secret Place* Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain X360 Complex. Step 2: Extract the files through winRAR or any RAR program. You will have DISC 1 and DISC 2 Step 3: Open Disc 1 in Xbox Image Browser and Extract the content folder by right clicking and extracting. You will want to extract to a folder called MGS Content. Step 4: Open Disc 2 with XIB and extract the whole folder to a folder on the desktop called MGS V: The Phantom Pain. Step 5: Delete the system update folder from the MGS V: TPP folder just created. We don't need it and it makes it smaller. Step 6: Transfer to your External HDD or USB - 16GB + ( if need be use a 8 + ) and also if you have a USB 3.0 it will speed up things alot quicker. Make sure you transfer to your folder called Games/MGSV:TPP Step 7: Transfer Content folder created above with the 4 Files in it over to your USB or External HDD So just like this. Content/00000000000/000002/4B4E085E/4 Files... Step 8: Okay now we go over to the 360 ( RGH/JTAG ) and you want to run FSD ( Freestyle Dash ) obviously plug your external or usb into the 360. Go to File manager, move the Content folder (4B4E085E) from your external to the HDD1/Content/00000000/Folder. May take 10 - 15 minutes to transfer all four files as they are 1.0 GB + Each. Step 9: Go to your external HDD, run the default.xex in the MGS V: TPP Folder. And it should run perfectly fine for you. No message will pop with Please install Disc 1. Step 10: Done it in 9 steps, Enjoy your game! Anywhere ive confused you drop a message below il help as much as i can. Worked perfectly for me. And I just launched game from the FSD screen no problems. Didnt have to use the XeX.
No this method is for JTAG/RGH only. The only way of getting it to work with LT 3.0 is by flashing the .ISO file to Disc, but the only thing with that is your console is more vulnerable to being banned as waves are constantly on the go for flashed consoles especially using games which haven't released yet. Sep 1st 2015 is official release day.
But it was a method we used with gta5 that we extracted the 4 files put them in flashed usb then we play it with the game disc so im wondering if we can use it with this game too Sent from my SM-T110 using Tapatalk
Yes mate you can. Put 4 Files ( from disc 1 content folder ) onto USB that's configured to your Xbox 360 and Inject them through Horizon one by one by click save to my device ( Your USB configured ). Transfer by going to storage and selecting your usb and moving the content to your internal HDD. And burn Disc 2 to your DVD+DL and you should load up your DISC fine then once thats done. I'm sure your more familiar with doing it as you mentioned you did it for GTA 5. Hit me up if you having trouble with it. ************Be Warned***************** Game is not officially released chance of a ban! Hope i helped or clarified the question for you.
Thats the method thanks man you i will try it when i finish the download merci <3 Sent from my SM-T110 using Tapatalk
@lrishman Is it possible to play from a USB not HDD? As with GZ it was impossible, I have a 4GB and it needed an internal HDD.
Yeah if you see original post I mention that you can use external HDD or USB and the recommended size. It's the exact same way just running the game of the USB. But the thing with this is the 4 install files from the content folder are bigger then 4GB and they must go into your internal HDD. You can get cheap internal HDDs for 360Slims now anyway maybe 250 GB for 30 euro. I hope I answered your question correctly.
I have a 1TB external usb hdd, and with the new kernel I can just put a Content folder on the root of the hdd and it works, I have done this for DLC of all my games, I was just wondering if Konami went and made it compulsory to play from and internal install as with GZ, thanks for your quick reply
No I don't think it's compulsory. Follow the guide and see report back if it is so other members know.
I want a clear answer for this question. Plz someone confirm this. This is the only reason i cant able to play ground zero.
