The new DLC for Dying Light starts rolling out today in North America. Season pass holders will have access to 'Cuisine and Cargo' which allows players have to explore two new buildings sealed off in the first days of the outbreak, ( Quarantine zones ) one of these is a restaurant, the other is a loading bay. This first DLC is simply Two Quarantine Zones which were most likely held back from the main game to release to Season Pass holders to encourage sales. There is no new Blueprints, no new rewards at all, the only reward from doing these two quarantine zones is EXP. There is no new plot, no new storyline at all to accompany this DLC which adds at best a whole 15 minutes gameplay to the main game. The other Two DLC packs have also been detailed by Techland today, and there is nothing that makes me want throw my Money them. The Ultimate Survivor Bundle releases in March, and adds three special outfits and four new weapon blueprints. Basically the weapons will be dropped and duplicated and shared in game anyway, so the only thing you really get from this DLC pack is special outfits. The Bozak Horde will be available in May and features a new map and game mode available in both single-player and co-op. Players will be able to enter the Harran Stadium and battle hordes of Zombies. This may be the only DLC worth having out of the complete set of updated content as it does actually add a new game mode at least, and who doesn't like battling waves of Zombies? The content is too thin on the ground in my opinion and I feel Techland could of added a lot more content into Dying Light. What do you think, is this DLC worth the $19.99 / €19.99 for the season pass?
Such a let down, I have really enjoyed playing this game and I feel like Techland have really copped out on the DLC. I feel bad for all those that purchased the Season Pass, becuase paying an extra $19.99 for content held back from the main game is not on.
Fully agree Bullet, was looking for more than just 2 missions and i don't really care about outfits and the other shizz. Such a let down
Fully agree,it seems these days game devs are relying more and more on DLC to "extend" there game,yet 90% of the time those "extra's" we pay more for have been in the game all along,just snidely hidden away by the greedy bashturds.i refuse to buy season passes DLC due to all this,plus 9/10 times its out on pirate (for pc anyway) within an hour of the dlc being released lol.
Sadly the dlc won't be looking any good. So I think after done with side quests done with dying light.
