so just scouring the interwebz and came across this image on a group on facebook by the looks of things,c4e may have some good news for us all sometime soon, what are your thoughts on this?
Would be really nice for flashed/glitched xbone. Blakey asking C4EVA only says Team Xecuter have not started or made any progress as of yet after CR4 XL release. 12months + i think for any public release of any kind but more than likey drive firmware.
The most likely thing to be modded on the xbox one is the cd drive will become flashed and thats it. remember its going to be hard to exploit the xbox one since you cant access your gamesaves and most things are done through the cloud since the console is cloud based. PS4 will get hacked before xbox one does. Thats my prediction.
We are talking c4eva so it will definitely be drive FW related, however with a FW release i can pretty much guarantee someone will be straight onto a ODE, I would never rule out a Glitch\Jtag type mod either, with most content cloud based could actually help such a mod, if you think about it if the console reads unsigned content, from there will be exactly the same as XBLA\GOD\DLC on the Xbox 360 RGH consoles, Download, Unlock and play whatever you want.
As far as C4Eva's contribution is concerned, as Feral pointed out, it's most definitely going to be firmware related. However, don't completely rule out or discount Gamesave modding just because it's cloud based. It's different then 360 and harder; but it's not out of the question. Even other services like Steam & Origin use a cloud-based saving system and have been using for quite some time now. They all rely on a local + cloud saving system where saves are matched based on encryption; however, if there's a mismatch, the user gets the option to overwrite the cloud save with the local one, or local save with the cloud one. This has happened to me first hand; while playing Metal Gear Solid Ground Zero - my Internet connection went out in the middle of the game; it had to save the game locally when I reached the checkpoint. When I returned to the game the next day, XBOX One told me my local save data did not match the cloud save data and asked me if I wanted to overwrite the cloud game save with the local game save. This happens on Steam, Origin, Battle.net, etc type of services also. Once they figure out a way to transfer the local game save from XBOX One to USB (Which unfortunately isn't possible right away); next step will be breaking/deciphering encryption. Once that happens, the flood gates of game save modding will open. You'll essentially transfer modded save back on a "disconnected/offline" XBOX One and next time you play the game - it will give you the same options it does now when it detects a mismatch between local game save & cloud game save. Remember, we didn't have gamesave modding immediately after 360 was released. First thing that came out was C4Eva's firmware mods. Gamesaves & profile editors came long thereafter. Cloud is not the end-all for game save modding.
