Okay, I have solved this problem of ambiguity here. Previously in GTAV, after getting the 4 files from the content folder we used to use60 Revolution to copy them, as they were a single file but separated due to FAT32 file restrictions but for this game this is not the case. That is the reason why you need to forbid the use of Horizon for this game. Copy the content folder on your External HDD. If you don't have a internal HDD, like the Corona 4GB motherboards, you need to configure your External HDD in the Storage menu of the NXE dashboard. If you have FSD, then it's really time saving. Browse to the Content\0000000000000000000000000 folder on the Configured folder. (This folder is named Xbox360 and is present under the root of your Ext HDD if you have configured your HDD in the Storage menu). Then browse to the Content folder of the game that you copied earlier on your Ext. HDD and locate the folder 5345085E. Copy this folder to the previous location mentioned above. Extract the 2nd DVD as you do for other games. Load up the default.xex and then enjoy. This has to work for everyone. There is no other way present.
Great! It works on my Jasper JTAG! I think the disc 1 can be deleted after installation, since you need only disc 2.
I've tried to play the game from External Hard Drive/Usb Drive formatted in xbox. The game loads perfectly, but when i try to start a new game it crashes with "fatal crash intercepted". Anybody deal with it?
Having an issue installing the required content. My CD-drive died quite a few months ago so I can only use an external hard drive now... Anyways, I moved all the required content files from Disc 1 to the appropriate areas designated above into my external hard drive. When I start the game in FSD, it asks to install the required content and to choose a drive with enough space. I press okay and I get nothing, no message, no choice of HDD, nothing. Instead, I wait and nothing happens. I get the little tips for how to play, but nothing else... What else do I need to do?
You're most probably placing the content in the Usb0 Directory. Each External USB Storage that has been Formatted/Configured with the console will give you 3 folders: 1st External USB Storage= Usb0, USBMU0 and USBMUCache0 2nd External USB Storage= Usb1, USBMU1 and USBMUCache1 3rd External USB Storage= Usb2, USBMU2 and USBMUCache2 and so on... Place the content in the USBMU0, USBMU1 or USBMU2 Directory. The game shouldn't prompt you for any installation if done correctly.
Thanks for the reply, but I don't have any of those files in my external hard drive. It is a 500GB external HDD that was formatted by the 360. It has the Content folder and a "hidden" Xbox360 folder. Other than that, I have two folders I placed for original and 360 games...
Open the File manager in FSD, It will show you the root of all of you storage partitions and those folders I mentioned earlier will be there but if it's not, Plug in an unused usb stick and format it with the console and check if those folders are there. Tell me what partitions you see as well...
What i did was that i put disc 1 in "HDD1/content/000000000" in god format.. then disc 2 in my games folder in normal extracted format.. but the game doesnt work and asks for installation of disc 1.. see i dont usually put any game on my xbox with 2 discs.. once i put GTA V but now i dont remember how i did it.. and once i put Watchdogs.. where i merged the 2 discs.. which was pretty easy.. i was hoping i could do the same with other 2 disc games..
You should use both discs in Extracted Format as it will be easier and don't merge anything for this game. Refer to the 1st post for the directory using Internal hdd and External hdd and check post [post='665924']#8[/post] for external hdd partitions.
So disc 1 shouldn't be in god format?? and how can i exactly install disc 1?? as far as i get this post.. i should extract both discs then play using disc 2, im supposed to do that right? or anything else?
I extracted both discs put them in my xbox in Games> Alien Isolation>Disc 1 & Disc 2 .. now how am i supposed to install disc 1?? when i launch disc 1 .. a window pops up and asks for the installation of content.. i press "yes".. then window disappears and nothing shows up again?? what am i supposed to do?
Have you read the main post? You have to install the content Manually and installing it while in-game is not Manually installing it. If you're using an External Hard Drive/Usb Drive put Content here: (Example) USBMU0 \ Content \ 0000000000000000 \ 5345085E \ 00000002 \ 5345085E00000101 (Alien: Isolation Disk Package 1) (Example) USBMU0 \ Content \ 0000000000000000 \ 5345085E \ 00000002 \ 5345085E00000102 (Alien: Isolation Disk Package 2) (Example) USBMU0 \ Content \ 0000000000000000 \ 5345085E \ 00000002 \ 5345085E00000103 (Alien: Isolation Disk Package 3) (Example) USBMU0 \ Content \ 0000000000000000 \ 5345085E \ 00000002 \ 5345085E00000104 (Alien: Isolation Disk Package 4) You're External Hard Drive/Usb Drive must be Configured/Formatted with your Console in order to see the USBMU Partition and use FSD to view the USBMU Partition and put the Content there using the File Manager in FSD. This represents your plugged in External Usb storage. External Usb storage 1= USBMU0 External Usb storage 2= USBMU1 External Usb storage 3= USBMU2 and so on...
I have installed many games like this, but I'm having issues here. My rig: Jasper JTAG using latest dashboard. What I did: extracted disk one, and transferred the Content (as appropriate) to the HDD1 Content folder (large internal drive). I then put the extracted disk two in my games folder. What happens: I get the 20th Century Fox screen, and then it tells me to insert disk 2. (the disk 2 xex is what I ran). Anyone have this issue? Once the 4 large content files are transferred, disk one is not needed, right?
