How To Set A Custom Background In Aurora

Many of you are probably already using the new Xbox 360 dashboard replacement 'Aurora' right! Here's a quick guide on how to change the background image to a custom one of your choice...

First you will need to find an image you want to use and make sure its 1280x720 and save it as one of the following:

background.jpg

background.png

background.bmp

background.dds

Place your image into the root folder of Aurora and your custom image will be loaded as the default background image.

Having the background presenter pull the image from outside the skin file was a brilliant thing for the devs to do! This is great news for the user who just wants to keep a fresh look on their console, but doesnt want to dig into the skin files or be forced to use custom skins
