Xbox One External Hard Drive Support Teased by Developer

Running out of space on your Xbox One hard drive? You may be in luck. An Xbox One developer has given a tiny glimpse of what's to come, reaffirming Microsoft's message that external storage support will be available “soon”.

The news comes via Reddit, and a verified but anonymous Xbox One developer. Posting on the site, the dev shared an image showing a user interface notification displaying “External Drive Ready.” Accompanying the image was the message, “Adding more hype on the list of things to come. I give you this. Soon…”

Microsoft has already outlined its intentions to support external hard drive support. Fingers crossed that “soon” means in time for the next system update.

About time, looks like we can have 1TB externals this time, judging by the 29.4% used and still got just under 600GB free
