Ummm I hope I don't get flak for this, I have read around to see if I can find a definitive answer but I wanted to ask from someone who has first hand experience.

My question is; if I use a trainer (on a dual nand 360 but offline) whilst signed into my xbox live profile (the one I use on my retail side also) will the trainer modify my profile? Will I be able to use the profile on my retail nand without it getting banned afterwards?

Bear in mind I would only be unlocking offline achievements and not using the trainer to give me bonkers stats or anything like that, I just want to speed up the process of playing certain games (I wish I had more time for gaming but I don't haha)

I've heard some people say no it only modifies the game memory only and others say yes it will modify the data of my live profile.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I really appreciate any advice you wise fellows can give,

    thanks!

I use trainer on my Xbox Live Profile and now I use trainers on Xbox Live, Had no problems yet.

However with modding there is always a chance of a ban ;)

Same here, been using trainers since I knew they existed. The only thing to keep in mind is to have no saves stored on your USB device. You'll never know if MS is able to track odd parameters within a save that's used with a trainer.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm guessing it's simply a matter of being smart?

Like not using trainers to pop unlikely achievements early on or in impossible time frames? I'm only ever gonna be using them offline and I won't even be using the saves I have from using a trainer on my retail, just my xbl profile :)

cheers for letting me know, you guys are fast!

I've been using trainers on my online profile on my rghs for long time now and my main profile I've had years and years with 150k gamerscore and £1000's spent on it over the years I wouldn't risk doing it if I didn't think it would be ok couple important things you need to know and should do
#1. Always back up your profile (incase you do something you didn't mean to or pop a crap load of achievemnts out of order)
#2. Don't sign in your profile on the dash
#3. Boot the game and trainer and then sign in while on the game
#4. When your done go back to the main menu on the game and sign out.
#5. Don't tell people on xboxlive even your friends what your doing, people get jealous coz there paying $60 for a game and your not
and they like to grass you up and get you banned
#6. To reiterate how important it is again I'll say Keep a back up of your profile.
Activating cheats while signed it is fine as it doesn't touch any info on your profile

Do these things and you will be fine.......
