I'm not sure if this has been posted elsewhere as this is the first time i've been online since being given a tip on how to fix the random crashing and managed to finish the game flawlessly Make sure you unassign any plugins on Dashlaunch like XBDM, my guessing behind it is because it loads the xex into the memory on boot up when you play the game and its not running on full memory it crashes at certain points i hope this helps some people to finally play the game fully
doesnt work worth a Fecal Leaking. if you have a savefile using mods then your savefile is corrupt and your game will freeze. plugins have nothing to do with it
In fact, it is an issue with XBDM Plugin. With or without trainer/mods the game will freeze (maybe on some xbox360 only). For me it happened in Chapter 4 - Bloodbath (without trainer). So I disabled XBDM for the time I was playing The Evil Within and voila no freezing anymore.
Plugins do affect games and if you're running trainers too, especially JRCPv2 (Stops trainers from loading into memory.) Try unload the FSD dash plugin so it reverts to the original NXE style dash, this is also another cause of freezing for this game. Also, run the latest TU for any game also.
Omfg thanku so much worked I had the same problem at bloodbath on chapter four would freeze as soon a ruvik brought mobs out idk I somehow got past it before it froze after 100 times then ran into it again on chapter six at second bomb door found this removed to xbdm plugin and bam no more freeze been running the trainer also on tu1 Snotty did u restart your console after turning off the plugin/s otherwise they would have been still loaded in
Ok, I unloaded xbdm and saved a new .ini and it's playing fine so far. I was finally able to get past chapter 4. Thanks man!
