Hello XPG Members. First off let me start by saying this method is aimed at people with dual-nanded Xbox 360s, if you DO NOT have this method for your 360 please don't follow these steps and ignore this guide! Right, I'm not quite sure if this has been thrown out there on XPG for dual-nand users and if they're having issues, but I personally would like to share this tip for 100% working result. Please please read this guide step-by-step and pace yourselves, do not blame me if you cannot follow text based instructions. Tools Needed: Flash 360 - To read your current nand. Latest version of xeBuild - It is on here. A USB stick 1GB preferably. First off either download Flash 360 or run the tool and you will be presented with a screen like this: Depending on the size of your nand you want to press the X button on your controller, this will dump the nand to the Flash 360 folder where it is located, example: HDD:\Apps\Flash360\flashdmp.bin - Then transfer the dumped nand to a USB stick. 2. Open up xeBuild and locate the flashdmp.bin on your USB stick as shown below, this will also fill in the required steps such as: Console Type, Glitch and so on, you will need to enter your CPUKey but that is in the next step. Please make sure your xeBuild looks like this before the next step, please note I will be censoring vital information from my console to protect me, this doesn't affect the guide. Next step, power down your dual-nand side and then boot into Xell, once Xell has loaded in xeBuild where it says "IP to Xell" enter the IP of the Xbox, whether it be 192.168.0.6 or 192.168.1.5 - the click "Get CPUKey from Network" and then xeBuild should look like this: This will fill information such as CPUKey and anything relevant on the right hand side also, which result in a 100% update. Leave options such as "Include Dashlaunch" leave those options as default and the options where it says "Disable MU" etc leave those as default they DO NOT need to be touched. Once the information is good press "Generate hacked image" this will generate the new dashboard image for the hacked side of your nand, once that has done delete any files off your USB key and put the file "udpflash.bin" on the root on the USB key, no folders as this will not work, plug in the USB key into the 360 and boot into Xell by pressing the eject button by default this will then search any attached devices looking for "udpflash.bin" once Xell has found it let it do it's thing and write the image. Once the image has been written power off your console and unplug your power source for at least 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds have passed, power up your Xbox 360 on the dual nand side and success you should be on the latest dashboard. :yes2: Now your saying "Where is my avatar?" - Simple fix, switch to your retail nand, if your Xbox 360 hasn't been console banned (like me and my hacked side) it will ask you to update go ahead and update. If you can't access the update this way you will need to download the update from Microsoft's website from here:http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/system/system-updates-info?icid=furl_update#0957e11b676848d3864ac528e39a3804 and you will need a USB stick again 1GB preferable and formatted FAT32. Once the file has downloaded, extract the zip to the desktop and copy the folder $Systemupdate to the root of the USB stick, once this has done pop the stick into your USB and make sure you boot into the RETAIL nand and then it will ask you to update, just proceed as you would as the normal method. Once this process has finished switch to the hacked nand and then your avatar should appear and your all updated. This guide will work for future dashboard updates also! Any issues please comment below, I will help you where needed.
Nice thread bro but there is a easier way on Dual Nand if you have TX Demon. You can use Demon tool box and install drives. That way you can flash the nand even if its bricked via cable (console TX Demon switch to PC USB port) and it also works with jrunner. No more messing around soldering or using flash360 just plugin cable and click write nand or read nand. That easy
