Complicated TU issue - need expert

    Short story:

    I need a TU8 for Terraria TitleID: 5841128F MediaID 42F82C25 (It has to be that mediaID)


    Long Story:

    Ok so Im trying to get TU8 for Terraria which is listed on xboxunity http://xboxunity.net/

    -I download it and install it from the xbox dash.

    -freestyle3 and the game recognize it as an installed update for the game.

    -I activate it.

    -Then I go to play it and it plays with no update applied.

    Heres where it gets complicated:

    If I download a terraria update from FS3 directly, the latest version I can get is TU6 with a base version of 3.

    That terraria title update with a base version of 3 works but it points to MediaID 42F82C25

    -However I need TU8 and that is only available via MediaID 362D89A8.
    -As I stated before, when I install the above TU8, the game still recognizes it but it doesnt work.
    -The other weird part is when I install that TU8, I cant find where it installed too. I see the TU6 but not TU8 in the same TitleID: 5841128F folder.


    So this is all a clusterfuck.
    I dont know why theres no TU8 for Terraria TitleID: 5841128F MediaID 42F82C25 on xboxunity.

    Any idea about any of this stuff?

    So what i would do is delete TU6 from 5841128F folder then move the TU8 to the folder manually. Reboot console then make sure its active in FSD and boot the game.

    Try it and report back ;)


    Edit: Also open the TU8 in 360content manager just to make sure it has the right ID. I would also open the games xex default in 360 content manager to make sure they match.

    Yeah but if its a different mediaID will it still work? The only TU8 I have is for a mediaID that is different than the one I have installed.

    The only way I know how to install a TU is by xfering in the xboxdash (Creates the right directory). I think I tried to xfer a TU directly to the update folder with a plain flash stick and it didnt work. I also dont know how to change the ID. Arent all IDs 00000000000000 by default?

    Nope I haven't solved it. I downloaded other PAL versions with a different media ID but I'm not really in a hurry to go that route so I haven't tested it.
