The backwards compatible catalog gets a nice addition.

The march towards total backwards compatibility slowly continues as Major Nelson announced over Twitter that Tomb Raider: Underworld has officially joined the program. The announcement comes nine days after Xbox put out Frontlines: Fuel of War, Costume Quest 2, Virtua Fighter 2, and Quantum Conundrum into the backwards compatibility initiative.

    Here's Major Nelson's tweet:

Xbox has been pretty good about putting out big games into the program, as Red Dead Redemption, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Halo: Reach stand as some of the more notable titles. The user vote for the backwards compatibility program is still live and has only four games with more than 100,000 votes. Those games are Skyrim and the three Call of Duty: Modern Warfare titles.

Tomb Raider: Underworld is playable on Xbox One starting today.
