Microsoft has detailed a limited “Day One Edition†Xbox One along with price details for the anticipated Xbox One. For those that pre-order the system at participating retailers, they will receive one of many physical and digital bonuses, including a special achievement. Yeah, you read that right. They’re giving away achievements for pre-ordering hardware now. This should come as no suprise though with the new achievement structure allwoing developers to add achievements in the Xbox One without the need for DLC, you can expect achievements to be awarded for almost anything at anytime on the Xbox One. Anyway, pre-order and you’ll get a limited edition Xbox One Day One branded controller, as well as the following digital goodies: Commemorative Day One Achievement Exclusive Ryse: Son of Rome multiplayer map and sword with bonus attributes Four cars tuned to the top of their class for Forza Motorsport 5 Exclusive sporting equipment for use in Kinect Sports Rivals Exclusive Dead Rising 3 Frank West and Chuck Greene Tribute Packs with bonus attributes So most of that looks cool, but am I overreacting, or is Microsoft devaluing achievements with stuff like this? Xbox One is out in November for $499 in North America, €499 in Europe, and £429 in the UK. Source - X360A

DelBoy, I'd have thought someone 31 years of age would understand that we have to pay VAT and Import Tax ontop of the USD->GBP exchange price, guess I was wrong.
