The PS4 will not require an always online connection and, it will not block the use of second hand titles. This was said back in February, by Sony Worldwide boss Shuhei Yoshida during a round table after the PS4 reveal. Kotaku also reported this back in February but back then it was all rumours now however it's been confirmed by Yoshida. Any DRM on used games will be left up to the publisher in question, according to Yoshida. Hope this clears everything up. So what do think guys now Sony has scrapped this will MS also do this? If you ask me YES they should. Source Myself.
personally i wouldn't buy the Xbox One if it requires always online connection & doesn't have the ability to play used games!
Cough, the Xbox One can BOTH play used games, and doesn't require an always on internet connection. That's been said. However, there wil be a fee for used games (how much, we don't know), and it will need to connect at least once every 24 hours. PS4 could still do this. All they said was that it wouldn't need an ALWAYS on internet, and wouldn't BLOCK used games. Microsoft said the same thing, before they told us the grim details.
Even though MS has already shot themselves in the foot, I think Sony may slip-up but I refuse to buy either consoles and when I am done with my 360 I might buy a PS3, but NO NEXT-GEN!!!
