Amazon is running a poll on their Facebook page asking readers which next generation console – Sony’s PlayStation 4 or [background=transparent]Microsoft’s[/background] Xbox One – they prefer. If you’ve been reading story comments or message boards since E3, the results probably won’t surprise you much. With more than five days left to vote, the Xbox One has amassed 1,754 votes (as of writing). The PlayStation 4, on the other hand, has 31,689 votes. Yeah, it’s not even remotely close. Sony executives must be feeling pretty happy at this point but at Microsoft, the atmosphere probably isn’t as cheery. True, we won’t know how all of this pans out for a few more years but right now, the results are pretty telling. That’s because, unlike other polls you may find on fan sites, Amazon is a neutral party with a huge fan base that consists of both Sony and Microsoft homers (as well fans of games in general). A quick look at Amazon’s Best Sellers list in their [background=transparent]video[/background] games category solidifies what we are seeing in the poll. As of writing, the launch day edition of the PlayStation 4 is already sold out. Sony’s standard edition console – with a release date of December 31, 2013 – is currently ranked first ahead of the Xbox One. That said, do you agree with the findings in Amazon’s poll thus far? If you had to choose between the two right now, would you go with Sony’s offering or lean more towards Microsoft?
Don't count Xbox ONE out just yet cause anything can go from now to the release date of the console. We have seen this happen before and who always comes out on top, Xbox does every time. People may think the PS4 won E3 but in truth they are throwing their money to company that rips off Nintendo at every turn. Take the PS Move that equals a Nintendo Wii controller with a ball on top of it, nothing new just adding something and than calling it you're own. PS4 controller equals the Nintendo's Wii U controller. PSP = GBA, PS Vita = NDS-3DS. Look at gaming history and you'll see Microsoft and Nintendo are way better than a company that rips off idea's and claiming them for their and than tells Microsoft that they'll sue them if they use the blu-ray player in their console. My advise to SONY is BRING IT ON *******, cause I'll be their in court telling the jury what SONY has been doing. Gamer's want to be able to chat with friends even they are watching TV and using SKYPE cause you can keep contact with you're best mate that is sick and at home watching the big game on his Xbox ONE, lets not forget privacy either cause keeping you're real name safe is a big one to pull off and last year we saw the PS3 servers hacked which will mean the same will be done with the PS4 and you're stuck playing that single player story and not being able to go online with you're friends or download the latest map pack for you're game on PS4. Xbox 360 has seen 2 million users from Playstation switch over all because of Minecraft being on the Xbox 360. So who wins the current console wars with the PS3 and Xbox 360, I'm saying Xbox 360. cause when can get a free game and then play it and tell you're mates about it and than having them downloading the same game and joining up in said game. Fable III is free until the June 30th or June 31st

Xbox and Nintendo are currently are opposite ends of the fail spectrum and that is why they are losing money. Nintendo wants to do the same stuff over and over afraid that if they venture out of their comfort zone, they won't sell games. Microsoft thinks drastic change is the way to go. Neither of them is going for what the GAMER truely wants. Ps4 will win, Serious gamers like a collection take me i wait for some games to come down in price or pick a few up pre owned to add to my collection since i cant do that on xbox one im moving over to Ps4

I've owned the Atari 2600, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, PlayStation, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I truly believe that we as gamers already suffice enough in terms of mediocre software and systems. If you look at the amount of software that is in production for the consoles, at what percentage of it is quality? Microsoft has really underestimated the intelligence of the gaming community this time. Not to say that I won't ever own an Xbox 1 but the best console will win, not the incumbent. I have to say Microsoft has turned me away this time around.
