You need to use an auto-riffle for this

    Info:
    Never run out of ammo

    Plenty XP
    Lots of loot

    1. Go to "The Dark Beyond" on Moon

    2. Set the difficulty to hard (Level 9 will do)

    4. Get to the cut seance in the video below:

(If you have done this once you can continue from here every-time!)

    5. Set your controller so that both triggers are active, I use an elastic band or tape

    6. Every few seconds you will get around 8 kills and then die so you will re-spawn with your ammo filled and in place to continue the onslaught

    7. Profit and enjoy

Be warned Bungie are smart so the controller will still act as inactive even though it's firing your weapon so now and then just jump and move the analogue stick a touch to the left as the level loads to be more on target

theres a even better way at earth over at the spawn cave you dont even have to shoot and you still get the loot from other players farming at the loot cave
and when you do get kicked for not played all the blue/purples get sent to your lost box at the tower

no offence but this has gotta be the daftest way of farming I've seen, doing it on such a low level will most of the time only give you green stuff

the destiny drop system isn't based on what level you play against. you can play against a level 2 and get an exotic drop. its all random

Not only are the drops random (green, blue, purple orbs) but when you turn them in to the Cryptark, his "decodes" are all random too (might get a blue from a green, or a green from a purple, doesn't matter). So until Bungie fixes it so you get green for green, and purple from purple, the only way to get stuff is to farm, and that "treasure cave" is the best way since the respawns are so quick.
