UK retailer GAME is no longer taking pre-orders for the Xbox One Day One Edition.

In an update posted on its website over the weekend, the retailer said: "Unfortunately, we have now reached our limit for Xbox One Day One Edition console preorders.

"The standard edition console is still available to order, although we can no longer guarantee you will receive yours on launch day. As soon as we can confirm when the standard edition is available we'll let you all know."

Xbox One Day One Edition consoles come with a commemorative controller, a code to unlock an exclusive Achievement, and a free digital copy of FIFA 14.

Xbox One will launch in 13 markets this November. The Xbox One price has been set at £430 / €500 / $500.

Earlier this week, an alleged internal Walmart document suggested Microsoft may have pencilled in an Xbox One release date of November 8 in the US.

UK retailers can also no longer guarantee delivery of PS4 pre-orders placed after August 5.

GAME says: "Any customers who deposited after 6th August 2013 will be given priority over further stock, so the best way to make sure you get your hands on a console as close to launch day as possible is to deposit with us."

Sources close to the matter have told CVG that retail outlets have also been promised additional units for general sale on day one - meaning those who don't pre-order will still have a small chance of buying the system on release day.
