There is a possibility that any progress earned during the beta period for Bungies upcoming Sci-Fi shooter 'Destiny' could roll over into the full game which releases on the 9th of September. This hasn't been categorically confirmed or denied by Bungie yet, although in a recent interview with Eurogamer David Dague, community manager for Bungie said that, "The beta is a test. It's extremely unknown as to what the outcome will be. So, it's certainly not a promise or an announcement that we're making at this time. It all depends on what we learn and how things shake out. So, we're certainly not telling players they can carry their progress over, but we haven't made any announcements either way" when asked if the states would carry over. Playstation gamers get an extended beta period which started on July the 17th and runs through until July 27th which is a lot of gameplay to lose if the stats do not carry over, although the level is capped at 8 which can be achieved in a few hours of gameplay. The beta starts on the 23rd of July for Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners giving them just a few days on the beta. So it's still undecided whether Bungie will start the game in September when it officially launches on a level playing field by resetting the stats and maybe rewarding those that spent time in the beta. Hopefully they will give us a definitive answer sooner rather than later. Would you sooner have stats carry over or be reset? Let us know in the comments below.
