Updated to version Dash Launch v3.04/ FSD3.0 r58 How to setup your Jtag to launch a different dash on start-up Requirements Jtag XeX Menu FSD 3.0 r58 Dash Launch 3.04 Transfer FSD to your Jtag Spoiler I am not going to go into putting these folders on a usb flash drive, because if you don't know how to do that you don't need to have a Jtag/RGH/XDK. With that being said lets get started. Highlight FSD 2.2.1072 and press Y Select Copy and press A Press X, select Hdd1: (or the directory of your choosing), press A Press X, select Paste, and press A Let it transfer the folder When its done it will be in the Hdd1: directory (or the one you chose earlier) Installing Dash Launch Spoiler Select the Installer folder and press A Select default.xex and press A Select Paths and press A Select Default and press A Select Hdd: (or where you transferred it to earlier) Select FSD 2.2.1072 and press A Select default.xex and press A Optional Spoiler You should already have XeXMenu installed, this will allow you to hold X on start up and boot to it instead of the default dash. Select BUT_X and press A Select 0000000000000000 and press A Select C0DE9999 and press A Select 00080000 and press A Select XeXMenu 1.1 and press A Make sure you selected the right paths. Now scroll back up to Paths and press A to minimize Select Behavior and go through the list and enable/disable the settings to your liking. Scroll back up to Behavior and press A to minimize Select Network and go through the list and enable/disable the settings to your liking, just make sure liveblock is ENABLED. Scroll back up to Network and press A to minimize Press LB Select Flash and press X In the bottom left corner it should say, Settings saved to Flash:\launch.ini Now you are all done, for safety I always cut the console off then on again to make sure it boots into FSD before I connect the ethernet cable. if i already have freestyle dash installed on my M$ hdd, is there a way to move it to the external hdd or would i just have to reinstall it?
Updating FSD Spoiler This requires you to be connected to the internet, use an offline profile or disable connecting to live via the Family Settings. Step 1 Enable Beta Updates, heres how. Go to Utilities and select Settings Select General Settings ] Go over and scroll down and check Enable Beta Updates Now when an update is available, you will get a message, like this Step 2 When you get the message saying there is an update, go to Utilities and select Settings Select General Settings Select Updates Select all available updates and click Y to apply updates You should get a message saying Updates have been added to the download queue. Let it download the updates, when it is finished a message will pop-up, select Restart FSD When it reboots push Y Let it install the updates and when it says it finished, press any button to reboot It will say Restarting Step 3 When it reboots, go to Utilities and select Settings Select General Settings select Reset Settings select Reset Skin Settings Select OK Let it do its thing It will restart your skin back to default and you will have all the updates.
I use a retail xbox hdd for my set-up. I tried adding this to the OP, but it said I posted to many images. i like it. did you add the dontdropthesoap watermark to the pictures? if so you mind sharing that fsd skin?
Yes, to the watermark, used photoshop. The FSD skin is included in the Freestyle folder, or here is BD's direct link, Blackened.zip
Very nice and clean! Thanks to the SOAP! =-)~ Btw I'd be STUPID grateful if I'd find one by ya describing a walkthru of the "disk swapper v1 BETA". Granted I'll probably figure it out in 5 minutes but hey... never hurts to inquire. Grey.
I had to re-upload all of the pictures(stupid photobucket), should be good to go.
still says you are over the limit. you might want to use the squirrelpics link instead. It's the acorn icon in the top right corner
