yes I will be updating the tutorial very soon, really im waiting on Dashlaunch 3.11 because the majority of users really shouldnt update until it comes out,, the update can be accomplished using the tutorial method with the stand alone server instead of using dashlaunch, but I fear that if I post the new quick method many will update without understanding fully that their dashlaunch will not work on the new dash and they may possibly be left with an unusable console if they have no way to boot xex menu or FSD from the regular dash,, when dashlaunch is out, I will have the tut up right away
Hi, thanks for the update and download. Has anyone else updated and still getting the pop up message saying a new system update is available? I still can't get online because of it and my XBLSE time is ticking away. It says my dash is 16547 in settings as well. Also I've got dashlaunch and FSD working fine for me, I don't and won't use XeX menu...
would you mind sharing a screenshot of your dashlaunch running?? , I was under the impression that is would not be compatible with the new dash(as it never is since the previous build cannot read the new dash revision it's trying to hook) Otherwise your popup issue is Avatar update is needed.
Of course, silly me lol I usually use J Runner but thought I'd just use swizzy's seeing as it was there, thought it might do all that for me lol. Sorry I don't use the actual menu so don't know if that works but what I've done is copied my FSD folder from HDD to USB, copied my old launch.ini from flash to USB and everything's good for me. Don't know if that helps but it's exactly the same as before for me so perfect.
so then your plugins are working ? and you can connect your console to neighborhood and/or xrpc tools ? sorry im just trying to sort out whats going on here and if some how the old dashlaunch still does work I can continue on making my tutorial update , I just assumed it would not as it never has in the past, and I've seen a few topics around the net claiming it did not
Thanks man and yeah I completely forgot c0z did not update dashlaunch yet I am in no rush tho as I do not go on xblse I just like to have my dash current on my console
And yeah dashlaunch is still built into the nand so you can add plugins to the launch.ini manually but there is no gui for dashlaunch (default.xex)
Haven't tried my tools yet but neighbourhood and XBLSE plugins are working. Just tried it without it on USB as well so it's all working exactly the same as before for me with exactly the same setup. People can probably use the last tutorial for 16537 to do that can't they? Just change the number and save yourself some time lol
yea making up the new file pack is no biggie, but im just trying to be sure all users get the safest update setup possible, and so far this new dash is hardly widespread and is only needed if going online,, but yes so it seems that somehow dashlaunch 3.08 can be used on the new dash(guessing cOz mush have removed the version limit in that build because 3.10 does not work) , but I just really hate to roll back to an older known to have bugs version of DL to update to a dash that games do not require yet :| hmmm what to do what to do :LOL:
I know exactly what you mean, I was going to wait until dashlaunch and Jrunner are updated myself because I like everything to work properly and be made to work with each other if you know what I mean but it's a proper release of xebuild, xblse and dlaunch so not much point me waiting for it just to all be packaged together. Tbh I expect the people who need all this right now already know what they're doing anyway though so a few days until everything's ready isn't going to hurt, plus the people who want it and don't know what they're doing should probably wait until everything's released properly and ready. If they haven't been through the procedure before then they don't know what to look out for or what's going on and it's probably just going to overcomplicate things for them and it'd be teaching them a way which they probably wouldn't usually use.
