Okay so I'm trying to hook my old Arcade Xbox, the one that uses component cables, like so Spoiler To my Dell monitor that has a DVI-D input and a D-SUB inport. I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried this and got something to work. Money isn't a problem but I wouldn't like to go all out on the budgit for this. I would also prefer to be able to use my Turtle Beaches as well. Thanks! (I think buying an Xbox 360 VGA Cable then buying a VGA to DVI-D adapter would work.. just don't know)
So here is the thing, I dont think that any monitor has those inputs and im not sure if there is an adaptor around that will support what you are trying to do. I could be wrong, but check on newegg and call compusa/microcenter to try and find out if this exists. I would suggest get a new monitor, but I dont think the arcade xbox has HDMI input
I think I found something that would work. The Xbox's component cables plugged into a component > HDMI converter, then a HDMI DVI-D cable in the monitor and the HDMI input on the converter
This should be fine, I have my Desktop PC hooked up to my 40" HDTV with this same adapter setup (using VGA input on the TV obviously not a 360 video connector and DVI-D out of the PC) but I don't see why it would not work fine on 360, it's just reversed from how mine is
