Xbox One launched in the UK on Friday, November 22. Word has it that sales of Microsoft’s console are on the cusp of overtaking the total number of Wii U consoles sold across Britain. It follows Nintendo’s confirmation that 3.91 million Wii U consoles have been sold worldwide since the machine launched in December 2012. MCV reports that Chart-Track has recorded some 150,000 Xbox One console sales across the UK since launch, which is double the launch week sales of Xbox 360 at 70,000. An unnamed source has supposedly told the site that Xbox One is now just a few thousand consoles away from over-taking Wii U lifetime sales in the UK.
