Following news that Xbox One can be used as a dev kit, it looks like mod support could be incoming too. Could this be a first for Xbox, because right now it looks likely that Xbox One will support mods, I know right that crazy! So where did we hear this BS i bet your wondering? Well from none other than the big cheese of the Xbox himself...Major Nelson. After the news was released that the Xbox One could be used as a dev kit, a Reddit user asked if this means the console would support mods. Welli dont know about you guys, but that sounds like the Xbox One will certainly have the capacity for modding, if developers create games in a way that will support it. Xbox and Xbox 360 didn't allow for mods but the recent Xbox One policy changes are positioning the new console to be the most open console Microsoft has made to date. Well i guess we wait and see, what are your thoughts, do you think that mods should be allowed? Please post below and let us know...
Wow!! So correct me if I'm wrong! But does this mean we can use trainers etc without a rgh or jatg? This would be insane.
i dont think they will go that far i think they mean things like skins or thing that will change the look for the game
This would stop people from trying to hack the system itself, but then again if they do this, they better make the BEST security ever to block them from connecting to XBL.
I think allowing mods is a bad idea. It's already bad enough when you try to play online and somebody else is modding. You can't win, and it's no fun. This just further proves the point that M$ is getting more and more lazy in their enforcing of bans. When was the last banwave?

But about the banwave: the security was beaten long ago with the LT firmware. Only banning when failing the AP checks or playing long before the release date...
Does this Mean MODSSS!!!! With out ban yey! Iv never been banned but worry if i do lmao had same account for 5Years this October
They should be allowed within reason like single player in exchange that u dont earn achievements I think that's fair
Not all mods are bad. Come on people think past what you usually see. This could be the thing we need to get user mods into games. Think extra levels, characters, game types etc.
Whoever wrote this has the worst grammar I have ever seen and should definitely not be writing for a website.
i think they know that gamers are smarter than them if some of the smartest coders and get into their systems and they dont know how. I think he figured if it supports mods he doesnt have to work harder lol
