So i have the xbox 360 elite and it is 8 years old and has not given me any problems and i have taken care of it. But now i cant connect to xbox live! once i go in and try it connects to the network ands says "your system requires an update but cannot at this moment" no matter what i do it doesnt work even if i try to do it via flash drive and it goes straight to the dashboard. All my saved games, my games themselves are gone and my games need to be updated. If anyone can help i would reeeeeally appreciate it seeing as im completely stumped right now. I want to play and its been months,
You can try clearing your system cache, turning your Xbox on and off, and see if that works. Make sure you have sufficient space on your HDD for the update. (The newest update requires 190MB of storage, or 256MB if you reside in Japan) Turn the console off, take out the HDD, put it back in, turn the console back on.
