So i been looking at Minecraft reviews since it dropped for XBLA and im wondering WTF is the deal with Minecraft? If you had to play a game with poor graphics and no story line you would moan like f@*k about it! From what i have seen so far Minecraft consists of wandering around a map mindlessly punching blocks to see what appears. Then you can take these blocks to build giant cocks because your bored as hell by now of building houses or digging tunnels! Would i want to waste my life playing a game that has worse graphics than a 4 bit game , erm no not from what ive seen... So am i wrong here, is there more to Minecraft than what i ahve seen thus far? Is there some sort of hidden depth , or is it a case of an unstructured game with no goals whatsoever?
It's a game that expands on having fun with friends and exploring, intern simple and no hard thinking involved. Best played with friends.
It's called survival for a reason, from day the aim is to build something to keep you safe of a night, you can create food to replenish health, create armour/weapons to fight zombies to collect thing like gun powder and string which help create more items e.g. bows, TNT etc. It's still boring though lol, but it's highly addictive.

Im so happy you made this thread, people complain about graphics and gamplay on other games that are pretty good..Then this shitty boring game comes out and everyone is all hype...Where are all the real gamers at seriously, alot of people dont know what a good quality game is now and days...
Well, the main reason why people actually bought this game because it came out to xbox. They were astonished that it actually came out. Now im talking about the people that used to play it on the pc. I mean you cant complain how poorly the graphics were on the pc, the game was made a long time ago, and they werent even going for graphics. So, those people that played it, were very surprised that it came out and want to buy it, just because its on xbox. So basically, if you didnt play the game on pc, your not going to want it on xbox.
The primary reason for Minecraft is building. The people who complain about it being boring are those without friends to help them out in their game. You can create varities of buildings, mechanisms, etc. Get a small group together and start building. I had talked **** about Minecraft for so long, then tried it myself. I got hooked.
